What ManyChat’s Free plan covers now
Since March 2, 2026, ManyChat’s Free plan includes 25 active contacts a month. An active contact is a unique person who interacts with one of your automations in the billing month, so 25 people commenting your keyword on a single Reel is the whole allowance.
When the 26th person comments, the automation stops for them until the next month, or until you upgrade. The paid tiers, as of September 2026:
- Essential: $17 a month ($14 billed yearly) for 250 active contacts
- Pro: $39 a month ($29 billed yearly) for 2,500 active contacts
- Business: $99 a month ($69 billed yearly) for 7,500 active contacts
Each extra contact above a tier’s allowance is billed on top. The ManyChat pricing guide works through what a month costs at different comment volumes.
What Komently’s Free plan includes
Komently’s Free plan is metered on DMs sent, not on people. It is meant to run real campaigns, not to be a demo:
- 1,000 DMs a month
- 5 active automations
- 1 connected account, Instagram or Facebook
- Comment-to-DM on posts and Reels, with a public reply
- Keyword auto-replies to DMs and Story replies
- 3 tracked links with click counts
No credit card, no trial clock. If a post takes off and you reach 1,000 DMs, sending pauses until the next month or until you upgrade; nothing is deleted.
What is Pro-only
- Lead capture: asking for an email inside the DM
- Follow-to-unlock: checking that the person follows you before the link is sent
- AI replies written from a one-line instruction, 50 conversations a month included
- 7-Day Rewind: DMing people who commented before the automation existed
- Image and audio DMs, and button cards
- Up to 5 connected accounts, and webhooks to Zapier, Make, n8n and Pabbly
Pro is $29 a month, or $19 a month billed yearly, with unlimited DMs and automations. It is a flat price: the number of people who comment never changes it.

Several tools offer a free tier for Instagram automation. They meter differently, so read the limit column carefully: “DMs” means every message sent counts, “active contacts” means every person counts once a month.

Figures are from each tool’s public pricing page in September 2026 and change often. ReplyRush’s free tier is larger than Komently’s in DMs; the difference is in what you can attach to a DM and in the paid path beyond it. Check each page before deciding.
Who should stay on a free plan
Free is enough if you
- Post a few times a week and get tens to a few hundred keyword comments a month
- Send a link, a code or a file, and do not need to collect emails
- Run one Instagram account or one Facebook Page
Upgrade when you
- Want the email before the link, or a follow check
- Hit the monthly DM cap during a good week
- Manage several accounts, or need AI to answer follow-up questions
