Duplicate an automation

Running the same campaign on a new post used to mean rebuilding the whole automation by hand. Duplicate copies everything that worked — keyword, messages, buttons, email capture — so you only choose where it runs.

How to duplicate

   Find the automation

   On the Automations page, click the copy icon next to the automation you want to reuse.

   Pick the posts

   A new automation opens with all settings pre-filled. Only the post selection is empty — choose the post(s) for the new campaign (or All posts / Next post).

   Adjust and save

   Tweak anything you like — keyword, message, buttons — then save. The original stays untouched and keeps running.

What gets copied (and what isn't)

• Copied: automation type, keywords, DM and comment-reply messages (including their AI-generated variations — nothing is regenerated unless you edit the text), action buttons, email capture, follow requirement, AI reply settings, and language.
• Not copied: the post selection (you choose fresh), statistics, and any "waiting for next post" state.
• Keep in mind: two active automations can't use the same keyword on the same posts — Komently will warn you if the copy would clash with the original.

When it shines

• Weekly campaigns — same "comment GUIDE" funnel, new reel every week.
• Scheduled posts — after a Next post automation attaches, duplicate it and choose Next post again for the following scheduled post.
• Second account — copy a proven setup to another connected Instagram account or Facebook page.
• Safe experiments — duplicate, change the DM copy, and compare results without touching the original.
